Estimates are built on recent eBay sold comps, and accuracy depends on how specific the item is — branded items with a UPC match most reliably. Every result carries a confidence score so you can see how much weight the underlying data deserves. CompDeck is in private beta and sold-comp data is not live yet, so any figures shown in demos on this page are illustrative rather than measured accuracy.
Yes — that's a core use case. CompDeck works two ways: scan items in-store with Field Mode, or upload a full manifest with Bulk Mode to get every item priced and ranked before you bid. Both run through the same pricing engine, which will draw on eBay sold data once Marketplace Insights access is live at public launch.
Yes — and we will never sell or share it. During the private beta CompDeck runs entirely in your browser: your scans, settings, and inventory are stored locally on your own device, not on our servers. When accounts arrive at public launch, stored data will be encrypted in transit and at rest. Your competitive advantage stays yours.
